Awards

Awards are very subjective things. Everything depends on the person or persons who are looking at the work, and their level of expertise and experience.  So bear that in mind.

However, for the most part, I am quite proud, as I do know and respect the work of those who did the judging.  Keith Ferris, Gil Cohen, and others, are well known artists in aviation. Keith's work, for example, can be found in the Smithsonian's Air and Space Museum.

These awards are all in the field of aviation art, as it is here that I have exhibited. The exhibitions were all juried. And given the quality of the work I was up against, I am still amazed.

I have not exhibited in the past few years, the focus having been plein-aire painting and the computer world - but I certainly hope to again. There is nothing like competition and the respected opinions of your peers to help you learn.
