Photo Restorations - After

A closer view of what's been done with this photograph:

After restoration (detail) - This rather extreme close-up shows what's been done. Cracks have been eliminated, contrast brought to normal levels, and more importantly, the faces have been reconstructed, even at this very small size.

Reconstructing faces requires a great deal of skill, and is rarely found anywhere. Success depends on how much of the original face can be seen, but as the restorer has many years as a portrait painter, his knowledge of facial structure is immensely valuable in ensuring the very best restoration possible. The client for this restoration was amazed.
